December Favourites

Hello, lovelies!

How are you doing? Hope you’ve had a great week, preferably not too stressed out over Christmas.

I know it’s still a bit early but today I’m sharing with you my monthly favourites. You’ll have already seen most of them (if not all) if you’ve read this month’s posts, but I didn’t want to miss my monthly favourites, mostly so considering it’s the last one of 2016.

Skincare

Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado, Kiehl’s | Eyebrow Enhancing Serum, Rapidbrow | Blue Herbal Gel Cleanser, Kiehl’s

These have been my skincare favourites for the past month. I’ve raved about the eye cream (here) but I still hadn’t talked about either one of the other products. I hated the Burt’s Bees cleanser that I bought around September so I was in need of a new one. And since I was buying Kiehl’s – the eye cream -, I browsed through the website and this one was advised for my skin type and concerns. I absolutely love it! Leaves my skin soft and feeling properly clean, without being abrasive or harsh. It’s perfect!

Also, I mentioned on my post about Growing My Brows that I had my eyes on this brow enhancing serum and that I was curious to give it a try. I’m so glad I did! My brow hairs are growing much faster, the difference’s more than obvious. My brows are fuller and I’ve been getting new hairs where they didn’t use to grow anymore. Heaven!

Makeup

Base

L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation | Wycon Liquid Concealer | Wycon Translucent Powder | Benefit’s Hoola | Kiko ‘105 Dark Rose’ Blush

As I mentioned on quite a few posts this month, I’ve been using the same base for a while. I find that this works wonderfully for me, since my skin’s gotten a lot more dry this season. I’ve been applying my foundation, concealer and setting them with powder, all with my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge (another favourite!), which makes my makeup stay flawlessly in place all day long!

Eyes

Naked 3 Palette, Urban Decay | Khôl & Contour Eye Pencil in ‘Ultra Black’, Bourjois | L’Oreal Super Liner – Perfect Slim | Kiko Creamy Eye Pencil in Brown | The Colossal Volum Express in ‘100% Black’, Maybelline

This month I fell back in love with my Naked 3 palette, from Urban Decay. It’s simply stunning, every single shade’s gorgeous and it’s great for this festive season as well. And I discovered I had this mascara that I don’t even remember buying (shame on me, I know!), which is actually pretty good. It lengthens and separates my lashes, providing them with a nice volume as well. Ticks all the boxes! Only problem: it smudges my lids.

Then I’ve also been loving my winged liner, and for that I only use the Super Liner – Perfect Slim by L’Oréal. It’s perfect, makes the job so much easier. It literally takes me less than 5 minutes  to do both eyes! And I’ve also been loving more smudgy looks, for which I’ve been using either one or the other of these two pencils.

Lips

L to R: NARS ‘Bahama’ | Kiko Precision Lip Pencil in ‘309 Crimson Red’ | Kiko Smart Lip Pencil in ‘710 Rouge Noir’ | Sephora Rouge Infusion in ’13 Plum Concentrate’ | NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme in ‘Transylvania’

This month’s been rich, when it comes to lippies. Of course, I’ve been desperately needing my trusted lip balm – Solid Oil Lips from the Argan Oil range, by The Body Shop. Not only because my lips have been needing more hydration because of the fact that’s way too cold out, but also because I’ve been wearing lipstick a lot more often, and deeper, more matte ones as well.

For when I go all out with my eye makeup and want a nice, your-lips-but-better-sort-of-lip, I have to go with my favourite lipstick, NARS Bahama. It’s just the most perfect formula – it’s creamy but matte, feels like hydrating, not drying at all. It just looks perfect!

Then come the darker ones. I’ve already talked on and on about these lippies because, honestly, just look at those colours! I’ve gotten into my dark lips, what can I say. And these colours just fill my soul, they’re all stunning. And the formula’s are perfect, except for the NYX one, which lets down on that department, considering it applies a bit on the patchy side.

That’s it for my faves, guys. What have you been loving this month? I’d love to know! Also…

I hope you have the merriest of Christmas, surrounded by whom you love, with all that makes you happy. And plenty of good food in your tummy!

Love,

Alice ♥

    1. Thanks, my dear. I’ve been obsessed with the RT sponge ever since I got it. It gives the most flawless finish! Such great value for money. And the Kiehl’s eye cream’s just heavenly! Xx
