Review: Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado

Today I bring you yet another review – the past month’s been review-heavy, I know. But I feel like it’s my duty to share my opinions with you guys. And if you know me, you know I do have loads of opinions!

There was this one day, at the beginning of the month, when I was applying my eye cream in the morning and told my mother-in-law I have to get a new one, this isn’t going to last much longer. No joke, when I was about to apply it that same evening, it had nothing left 😛

So, next day I went online and bought myself this one, since I’d heard great things about it and had had my eyes on it for a long time.

After using it for a three weeks, I understand why there’s so much hype around it. It’s worth every penny, mostly so if you consider the fact that the tiniest bit goes a long way! I’ve been applying it both in the mornings and at night and I can totally see the difference already. My dark circles aren’t so dark, my bags aren’t as noticeable nor as puffy, and the whole area’s a lot more hydrated. 

Also, I could swear my fine lines (yes, they’ve already started to show… Let’s not talk about that… ) are smoother and far less noticeable, which, only 3 weeks in, is quite the feat! For the past few months I found that my whole under eye area was looking quite dull, very dark, very puffy, very dehydrated. This changed the situation completely!

Regarding the consistency, it’s pretty much what you can probably guess by the picture. It’s thick, heavy, and doesn’t really absorb well into the skin. Saying that, I find this to be a great base for makeup, concealer applies much more smoothly and doesn’t crease as much.

It normally sells for €27 / $29 / £20 and I bought it from Space NK, which made it slightly more affordable. Honestly, if it’s within your possibilities, I totally recommend you get it! It’s a miracle for under your eyes!

→ Overall opinion: 4,5 out of 5! Only let down’s the price, but I guess you have to pay for how great it does the job…
