Review: Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in ‘Bahama’, NARS

Today’s post is yet another review! That’s what happens when you buy a bunch of stuff from Sephora 😛

This one’s about the Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, by Nars, in the colour ‘Bahama’. I’d been wanting to try Nars for years, specially these Velvet Matte Lip Pencils. I’d been eyeing the colourful ones (like Cruella, Damned and Train Bleu) but then I saw Anna, from Vivianna Does Makeup, raving about Bahama. She had it on and I absolutely fell in love with the colour!

This is a true ‘your lips but better’ kind of shade, which is right up my alley!

♥ I love the formula! I usually hate matte lipsticks because I feel like they’re very drying on my already dry lips but this one isn’t drying at all! On the contrary, I feel like it’s creamier than most my satin-finish lipsticks.

♥ It lasts a very long time on my lips! Seriously, it doesn’t budge. I only have to reapply  a tiny bit of it after eating and it’s perfect.

♥ It’s barely noticeable but there are some (not many) bits of sparkle on this lipstick. I usually hate that but here you only notice them if you’re staring at your lips. And the finish’s still matte, it only sparkles sometimes.

♥ As for the pencil bit, I’m still debating how I feel about that. I have a pencil eyeshadow and it doesn’t close properly so I fear the same will happen with this one and that’s no fun

→ Overall, I LOVE this lippie! Honestly, I feel like this might just be my favourite one out of every single one I own. I couldn’t be happier with it, I’ve been wearing it pretty much everyday since I got it! ♥
