Hello, lovelies!
How are you doing? Today I leave you with the recipe for an amazing face mask that will leave your skin feeling amazing!
The story behind this DIY project is pretty simple: The Body Shop raised their prices 😥 I know, I know, sad days… I always bought my face masks there (and everything ‘skincare’, basically) but they are quite pricey now. And I recalled my friend Marta from Majestic telling me once that she bought the clay (powdered) and did her facial cleansing mask herself, at home.
So yeah, I went to the supermarket and bought myself a nice bag of clay for €1 / $1,15 / £0,75 !!! It does not get better than that!
So I texted Marta and asked her for the recipe (and if she minded if I shared it with you guys). It is really simple, this is all you need:
- A bowl of some sort
- A chopstick (she told me that the metal from a spoon could change the face mask)
- A tablespoon
- Clay (powder)
- Water (tap)
On the bowl, mix (with the chopstick) half a tablespoon of the clay powder and just a bit of water, until you get about this consistency.
Apply the mixture evenly on your face with your fingers…
…and wait for it to dry.
*
Once it is completely dry, remove it with a damped towel.
*
And there you have it!
After removing the face mask, I noticed that my skin was feeling so much softer! But it was also feeling incredibly dry so I applied a moisturising face mask right afterwards!
Hope you find this post helpful 🙂 Let me know if you try this at home!
Love,
Alice ❤

DIY clay mask, that sounds very interesting and I know market ones are holding a hefty price tag.
