Hello, Lovelies!
I hope you’re all doing well. You have read a million times by now that I absolutely love Autumn! Another thing I love about the colder months is my skin, which is something I never thought I’d say. To give you a bit of a background, my skin is the worst type ever because it’s a mix of everything, really. It’s oily, dehydrated, acne-prone, and sensitive! Over the past few years it’s been getting much better, and I think I finally found products that work for me (coming your way in a post very soon). During the colder months, it forgets about everything else and is just dehydrated. That means it’s much easier to work out my routine, I just add all the hydrating, glow-boosting products!
That being said, it was time to switch from Summer to Autumn skincare, so I bought some of my all-time favourites, plus a few other bits to try out. Have a look!

I got samples for these two masks back at the start of the year, when I ordered my Spring/Summer skincare, which included 3 products from Origins. Ever since I’ve been obsessed with these two face masks, they’ve had such a great impact on my skin! I start by exfoliating with a gentle exfoliator (an old one I have from Origins), then I go in with the Retexturizing Mask With Rose Clay. I apply a light layer with my face still damp from removing the exfoliator. This mask introduced me to the benefits of rose clay:
- Helps to restore and replenish skin with moisture
- Draws out impurities
- Gentle exfoliator (slightly grainy texture)
- Gentle on sensitive skin
- Helps reduce irritation and inflammation from skin concerns such as acne by:
- soothing and balancing skin
- promoting healthy cell renewal
- Minimises blackheads, hormonal breakouts, and congestion.
After it dries down, I remove it with a damp, warm cloth. And then I go in with the Drink Up Intensive – Overnight Hydrating Mask With Avocado & Glacier Water. If you’ve never tried it, I strongly advise you to. It just hydrates the skin like no other hydrating face mask I’ve ever tried (and I’ve tried my fair share). And the scent, although strong (which doesn’t bother me nor my skin), is divine! On the next post I’ll be sharing with you what else I add on top of this to wake up to glorious skin the following day, so keep your eyes peeled for that!

If you followed my blog back in the day, you might remember me mentioning how this serum saved my skin. All these years later (around 6 at this point, I’d say), it’s still my go-to day serum for the colder months.

I bought this Argan Nourishing Face Moisturiser by Garnier Organics to use as my daytime moisturiser. I’ve been trying out a few products by them, as has my mum. She mentioned she really liked this one, and that it was working well for her, so I thought I’d give it a go. I’ll update you as soon as I have an opinion on it (I haven’t started using it yet).

As I mention in the introduction, this time of the year my skin needs all the help it can get in the hydration/glowing departments. Given that I’ve been loving the Pixi Glow Tonic for over a year, I decided to give the serum in the same range a try as my night serum for Autumn-Winter 20/21. I haven’t started using it yet either, but so far I love the packaging!

For the past couple of years, I’ve been using Pixi’s Vitamin Wakeup Mist from around mid-October up until mid-March. It worked really well for me, so I wanted to get a second bottle. However, this one, in Supersize, nonetheless, was at a great price, so I decided to give it a try instead. It’s their Glow Mist, and it’s a mix of plenty of good ingredients for your skin:
- Propolis Extract has antioxidant properties
- Rose Flower Oil soothes and hydrates
- Lavender Oil calms and soothes
I can’t wait to give it a try!
That’s all I got for Autumn/Winter! How about you, guys? Have you bought any skincare recently? Do you change things up for the colder months or just stick to the same products all year round?
Thanks for reading!
Love,
Alice
