Guess who’s back!

Well hello there! It’s been a while. Apologies for my radio silence of the past 3 and a half years – and off to a long post of explaining what I’ve been up to!

First, a bit of context. I’m currently living in France, where I moved to over 4 years ago. The first year, almost, was spent on French lessons, looking for a job, and getting used to life in a new country, away from family and friends. It was hard, but I was finally able to land a job. And that is why I stopped updating my blog. I was working shifts, weekends often, commuting, getting nowhere near enough sleep, and spending the little free time I had left with my boyfriend.

Since then, I’ve changed jobs twice, always at the same place, and I’m very happy where I am right now. That being said, COVID happened and is making it so that I am only working part-time. Which brings me here, as I finally will (hopefully!) have a bit more time to write again.

As per other life updates, there have been a few since I last posted: I can proudly say I’m now Miss Wonderland, as my high school sweetheart finally decided to propose about two years ago. We got married last year, in a small, intimate ceremony, surrounded by our loved ones. It truly is one of the most magical, most special days in one’s life – though also rather stressful!

We have since then become house owners, as we bought our first house (which we’re hoping will be our forever home)! It’s been lovely getting to decorate it exactly as I want to (yes, the hubby can decorate the office – also known as his man cave. The rest is up to me). It’s a work in progress, but it’s very rewarding to see our/my vision come to shape.

Oh, and we have adopted two cats. Our eldest is a one-year-old black cat with white knickers (a large white spot on his lower belly area). The youngest is now four months old, and his our little grey and beige tiger. They both get along incredibly well, and are our purrrfect little companions.

How about you? What have you been up to? Hope this year hasn’t been too hard on you.

I look forward to getting back to writing and sharing with you everything I’m loving at the moment!

Thanks for reading.
