Review: L’Oréal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation

Hello, lovelies!

How are you doing? Today’s post might just be a tad spoiled by my October Favourites post but hey, who cares, right? I think this foundation deserves a post of its own 😉

I got it at the beginning of October, on my Feelunique Haul. I’d been wanting to try it for a while, since I’d hear so many great things about it.

Mine’s in the shade Golden Beige 7, which’s my usual shade in their foundations, and it matches me perfectly. I have to say, I never thought this foundation’d work on me, on my skin type, but it works perfectly!

It has a light to medium coverage but it’s totally buildable so, if you like your full-coverage foundations, you can still get that same effect with this one. I’ve never applied it with the pad that comes with the product, I’ve applied it with the Real Techniques’ Miracle Complexion Sponge, which goes with this type of foundation perfectly!

The result? A super natural, flawless base that totally looks like skin, but really healthy and perfect skin!

As for how long it lasts on the skin, it totally depends on your skin. First time I applied it, I managed to stay shine-free for about 3 hours, which isn’t totally bad for me personally. Second time, however, I was matte for 8 hours! Never had that happened to me before so I was like this foundation’s bomb! It, of course, varies from person to person. On my mother-in-law, who has dry/sensitive skin, it lasted all day beautifully.

I wear it on top of The Body Shop’s Insta Blur primer and set it with my translucent powder from Wycon (also with the RT sponge).

Concerning the price, at the time I’m writing this post it’s selling for €19 (around $20,60 / £16,5) at Feelunique, but they’re always having discounts so I’m sure you can buy it for less, like I did (mine was around €10 / $10,9 / £8,70). Also, the packaging’s really nice and has a decent mirror, which is a plus for me.

So, if you’re curious to try this foundation and the price isn’t too much for you, I totally recommend you give it a go!

→ Overall opinion: 4,5 out of 5! (the sponge’s the only thing that brings it down a bit for me, since I don’t actually need it, think it’s a bit worthless)

Have you guys tried this foundation yet? Or any other cushion foundations? I’d love to know what you thought!

Love,

Alice ♥

      1. I have! There’s this one by Designer Brands that I tried that’s actually pretty good for a cheap price, though I’m not sure if they sell their product globally 😦 i definitely will tell you how I go if i do try this one, though! 😄

      2. I don’t think they sell worldwide, I’d never even heard of the brand 😂 yes, please let me know if you end up buying this one. It’s affordable as well (unlike the YSL one that everyone’s been raving about), so I believe it’s great value for money 😉 xx

    1. Seriously? Oh, that’s sad to hear 😥 I’ve been using mine for about a month, not everyday though. It’s a shame that it runs out quickly, otherwise it’s a great foundation and great value for money. Xx
