How are you all doing? Hope you’ve all had a lovely week. Well, as lovely as possible, considering the results of the American elections…
Focusing on something positive instead, I’ve decided to share with you my Makeup Geek Wish List, all their products I’ve been dying to try, which consists of eyeshadows and blushes.
I’ve always wanted to create my eyeshadow palette, one with all the colours I like and that I can take with me everywhere. One that I can create all types of looks with, from greys, to my warms, to neutrals, to plumy colours. Of course, the best way to do that, is by buying each one individually and putting them all in a Z Palette. And I’d need a large one for all the shadows I want 😛
I’ve also really loved blushes. Playing with them, with different colours, to match them with the eye look I go for. However, I’ve only got three little blushes so I can’t really do that with what I got. Therefore I’d get a few from Makeup Geek, and put them all in a Medium Z Palette, so I could also take them everywhere with me.
If you properly think about it, though it might end up being a tad more expensive, it’s much better so invest in these sort of palettes because they’re custom made, by you. So they’ll only have colours / finishes you like and that you’d take everywhere with you.
With regular palettes, you end up liking most colours in them, but then there’s always some other colour you wish they had that just forces you to take more than 1 eyeshadow palette with you, wherever you go. (No? Just me? 😛 )
So, without further ado, here’s everything I wish I had from Makeup Geek 🙂
These last two would be absolutely perfect for my skin tone, and for all year round as well. As for the first three, Heart Throb’d be a great cheek colour for all seasons but the other two, since they’re originally design for lighter skin tones, would be perfect for Spring & Summer, as a pop of colour! And they’re all matte, since I can’t stand shinny / shimmery things on my face (only on my eyes).
As I mentioned at the beginning, you can see how I’d be more than happy with all these colours, right? I’ve got my neutrals, warms, cools, plumy, earthy, greys, smoking colours, crease colours, everything! This’d definitely be the perfect palette for me.
And I understand some of these colours might seem pretty similar on the pan, but if you see the swatches aren’t all that similar. At least I can find differences in all of them, and different uses for each individual shadow. But maybe I’m biased since this is «my palette» 😛
What about you, guys? Have you tried Makeup Geek? Do you recommend?
Which are your favourite shadows / blushes? I’d love to know 🙂
