Sephora Masks: Eyes, Nose and Face

How are you guys doing? How was your weekend? 🙂

Back at the beginning of the month, when I went to Paris (read about that here, if you haven’t), I made a trip to Sephora (woopsie!).

However, since I wasn’t in need of anything (when has that reason prevented any of us from going shopping, right?! You’ll see what I mean on Wednesday 😛 ), and I really wanted to try a couple of these, I ended up purchasing 3 masks: one for the under-eye area, another for my nose and the other one was a sheet mask for my face.

Also, I applied these on a Sunday morning, which is why you’ll see me with no makeup on, hair in a ponytail and with my dressing gown on 😛

I started by cleansing my face with my regular cleanser and then applying the nose strip, since it was supposed to purify the skin and unclog all my pores. After that, as instructed by the packaging, I removed the transparent film, applied it onto damp skin with the black side against the nose. Then I moistened the nose again so that the patch would adhere better to the skin (again, as instructed) and I left it on for 15 minutes. I removed it delicately and rinsed to remove some residue.

I have to say, I was not impressed! I saw no results whatsoever, my nose looked exactly the same. And I didn’t notice any difference on the following days either, it was just a big disappointment.

The plus side: it looks like Batman’s symbol and I love me some Batman. But that’s really all I can say in its favour

If you’ve read quite a few of my posts, you’ll probably know I have a love-hate relationship with eye cream. I just don’t feel like it works so I end up not applying it, and then my under-eye area looks dry and with a few fine lines already (for which I’m way too young!), so I feel like I have to, but then, if I do, I don’t see results… It’s a never ending cycle.

That’s why I wanted to buy an ultra moisturising under-eye mask, to see if it could add the moisture I don’t. I have to say, I don’t know if it brightened much, but it definitely moisturised so it gets points for that!

I realise I look a bit mental, I couldn’t really move my face that much so it ended up looking a little like this 😛

I wanted a brightening one for the face because I’d looked at my skin a couple of days before and thought it looked dull, lifeless, and in need of brightness, so this one seemed to tick all the boxes.

I removed the pink peel and left the sheet on for 15 minutes. It left over a moisturiser-type-of-cream, which I massaged into my skin. Afterwards, my skin was red! And when I say read, I mean like Father-Christmas-outfit kinda red, all-over. It took about an hour to calm down, which was when I got to take the ‘After’ picture.

As you can see, I wasn’t very impressed, neither with this one nor with any of the others, to be honest. I just couldn’t see any difference so I don’t see the point in repurchasing them.
