Review: Hydra Vegétal Face Mask, Yves Rocher

Hello, lovelies!

How are you doing? Hope you’ve all had a wonderful week 🙂

Today’s post is yet another review. I know last week’s posts were all reviews but this one’s a bit different 😛 As you may know, I move to France a little over 3 months ago and here there’s a quite famous brand called Yves Rocher, which is very similar to The Body Shop or Bourjois – they’re all quite affordable and sell both skincare and make-up.

In Portugal, you could only get Yves Rocher by catalogue and it wasn’t so easy to find someone who sold this brand, but I knew they had interesting stuff and I was curious to try their products.

I was almost running out of my Vitamin E Face Mask, from The Body Shop, so I needed to buy a new one. We went into an Yves Rocher store one day and I saw they had a face mask I was interested in trying with a 50% discount (it was reduced from €13,90 / $15,50 / £10,50 to €6,95 / $7,75 / £5,25!) so I decided to bring it home with me.

Hydra Vegétal Face Mask, Yves Rocher

This range, for those of you familiar with The Body Shop, is a mix between the Vitamin E range and the Nutriganics one, because it’s an hydrating range like the former but formulated with natural ingredients, like the latter.

You are supposed to apply it twice a week, leaving it on for 5 minutes and then removing the excess with a cotton pad.

Straight away, I loved two things about it:

The scent. I’m very picky with scents but this one is quite fresh, subtle and summery, so I love it!

The formula. It’s creamy and rich without being too thick or greasy. It’s quite light and fresh as well.

Once I actually first applied it to my face, I loved it even more! You can feel it sinking into your skin immediately, doing its job. It really feels light-weight on your face as well, not greasy at all but still incredibly moisturising.

The first time I applied it, I did so in the evening, before I went to bed, so that the residue from it could act while I got my beauty sleep. The next day, the difference on my skin was noticeable! It looked healthier, like it was glowing from within!

I can honestly say this one works as well as my two other favourite hydrating face masks (here and here), and this one’s way more affordable, even without the discount:

Hydra Vegétal, Yves Rocher (original price) €13,90 / $15,50 / £10,50 for 0.75 ml (2,54 oz), which means €18,53 / $20,68 / £13,97 for 100 ml (3,38 oz).

Vitamin E Face Mask, The Body Shop: €20 / $22 / £15 for 100 ml (3,38 oz).

Intensive Moisturising Mask, Rituals:  €14,50 / $16,20 / £10,90 for 75 ml (2,54 oz), which means €19,33 / $21,58 / £14,57 for 100 ml (3,38 oz).

→ Overall, I’m very happy with this mask, it works perfectly, has almost 100% natural ingredients and it’s affordable as well! I’ve got nothing bad to say about it at all and would recommend it to everyone! 🙂

You can read more about this mask here and about the whole range here.

Have you guys ever tried Yves Rocher? If so, which product and what did you think of it?

Also, I would love to know your favourite hydrating mask! 🙂

Love,

Alice ♥
