How are you doing? Today’s post will be a tad different than usual. I’m sharing my new favourite recipe for chocolate chip cookies! Yumm, right?
I tried this recipe about a month ago but I’m dying to bake these again since they were soooooooo good and so easy to make! I was debating (with myself, that is 😛 ) whether to share this recipe with you or not, since it’s not my usual type of post, but ended up thinking It’s chocolate chip cookies. Who wouldn’t want a recipe for that?!
So, for the days when you feel like having yourself some cookies (or are looking for something to have around when friends / family come over), here it is 🙂
♥ 1 cup of butter (softened)
♥ 1 cup of white sugar
♥ 1 cup of packed brown sugar
♥ 2 eggs
♥ 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
♥ 3 cups of all-purpose flour
♥ 1 teaspoon of baking soda (not baking powder)
♥ 2 teaspoons of hot water
♥ 1/2 teaspoon of salt
♥ 2 cups of chocolate chips
♥ 1 cup of chopped walnuts
Step 1: preheat oven to 175 degrees C (350 degrees F).
Step 2: cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Dissolve the baking soda in the hot water. Add to batter along with salt. Stir in flour, chocolate chips, and nuts. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans (I dropped them onto baking paper and they turned out great).
Step 3: bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned.
And feast your eyes on the end result!
Seriously, guys, these cookies were the yummiest ever! And they’re so easy to make, which is a problem because you’re tempted to bake them every week 😛
