Hello, lovelies!
How are you doing? Hope everything is fine π Today I bring you the world’s tiniest haul. I ran out of both my Rituals’ Intense Moisture Serum (sad days!!) and my under-eye concealer (I had been using the Cover-up Concealer by H&M Beauty) so I went and bought myself some substitutes for both products.
For concealer, I wanted something that was a bit more illuminating/brightening than your regular concealer, that was affordable but still good quality. So, on a trip to my local drugstore, I discovered this one:
First Impressions: I love it! I loved it the second I applied it to my under-eye area, it really is brightening and makes you look more awake. I also applied a tiny bit to the places I wanted to highlight (centre of forehead, bridge of the nose and chin), to balance everything out since the under-eye area was looking quite bright. I loved how it looked!
It lasts all day without budging, applies easily and smoothly, it is not very liquid but it it also not very thick and blends like a dream!
As for the prices, β¬11 / $5,59 (Target) / Β£6,99 (in Boots), which is quite affordable and great value for money!
.
The second thing I bought was a replacement for my Holy-Grail, best serum in the whole world, Intense Moisture Serum by Rituals, which is a tough act to follow!
This serum has a different name in every country, apparently π Here in France it is called SublimistΒ , in the U.K. it is the Skin Perfection Advanced Correcting Serum and in the U.S. it is the Youth Code Texture Perfector Serum Concentrate! Phew! When in doubt, find the pink serum by L’OrΓ©al and you will be good to go! π
It is still quite early to say if it is working since I have only been using it for a couple of weeks but it has been okay so far. The thing that fascinates me about it is the fact that it is quite iridescent/pearly and when you rub it, it turns pink! I am not the biggest fan of the colour but it is fun!
The thing I do not like about it at all is the scent – it is a bit sweet and overpowering for me, so I do not believe I will be repurchasing it.
It is meant to smooth the skin, reduce the visibility of pores, even out skin-tone, provideΒ hydration and diminish the first fine-lines – it is targeted for women between Β 20 to 30-years-old.
As for the price, β¬12 / $23,74 (Target) / Β£11,33 (Boots), which is quite nice for a Serum!
.
Have you guys ever tried any of these products? I would love to know your thoughts on them! π
Love,
Alice β€

from all the high street brands I’ve only tried the concealer from Burjois! but this one seems to be better than that! π xx, Annie | Annie’s Beauty

When I was at the store, I was actually debating between this one and the one by Bourjois but I went with this one instead π I love it, it’s totally worth the purchase! xx

Short but sweet haul! I’ve seen the highlighting concealer and it looks great, and you’ll have to let us know if the serum is good in the end!

Thank you so much, dear π The highlighting concealer really is great, I totally recommend it. The serum I have to wait a little longer to be able to give a proper review, but I’ll get back to you on that π Thank you so much for reading and commenting! Hope you have a lovely week β€ xx
