Looking Forward To: Make-up Launches

Hello, lovelies!

How are you doing? Today we continue with the ‘Looking Forward To’ series, this time with the next make-up launches that we should all be excited about!

(Please bear in mind that I wrote this post mid-February so some of these products may already have been launched.)

Jaclyn Hill’s Make-up Line

I am soooooo beyond excited for Jaclyn’s make-up line, you have no idea! She is so talented and knows so much about make-up that I am sure this line will be a huge success (I mean, you just have to know how her collaboration with Becca broke all kinds of records in order to know her line will undoubtedly be a huge success) 🙂

If you do not know who she is, first of all: do you live under a rock? 😛 Just kidding, she is a very talented make-up artist, who is also a youtuber. You can check out her channel by clicking here.

Sephora Play Box

Monthly subscription boxes are no novelty: every month, you pay a certain amount of money and receive, in the comfort of your house, a box full of products. This one by Sephora has been ‘invitation only’, to a select few bloggers and youtubers making it one of the most anticipated – and desired – products out there. They are said to release this box to everyone this year so, if you are like me and like getting several new products a month for a ridiculously low amount of money, you will want to get your hands on one of these!

Lips

Urban Decay

On the picture to the left, you can see the lipsticks developed by Gwen Stefani, in partnership with Urban Decay and shortly after the launch of her eyeshadow palette with the brand. Urban Decay’s lipsticks are known for being some of the best, with a great colour pay-off and an amazing formula that lasts for hours. Judging by this picture, I am afraid I am going to want every single one of these lipsticks, they are all gorgeous!

On your right, you can see some of the new 8 high-colour lipglosses which, as the name clearly states, are highly pigmented glosses that give you not only an intense colour pay-off, but an incredible shine as well! They are only available on Urban Decay’s website, though.

Maybelline

If you love matte lipsticks, you will love this one: it is affordable, matte, with a great colour pay-off and gives you a boost of hydration as well. At least that is what they claim it to be… These lippies are available in 10 shades, from nudes, to pinks, oranges, reds, berry and purples, so you can always find a colour that works for you!

Bite Beauty

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche lipstick

Swipe on bold, creamy lip color with Bite Beauty’s Amuse Bouche. Created and crafted by hand, Bite’s small batch, low-heat process preserves a balanced blend of lip-quenching nutrients, vitamins, and omega oils that are essential for achieving healthy-looking lips. Made with 12 edible oils and triple milled pigments, this lipstick provides saturated lip color with weightless coverage and a citrus flavor made from fresh pressed fruit.

I have never tried any products from Bite Beauty but these sound great and the colours look lovely, specially those left-most and right-most ones!

Dior

Dior Addict ultra-gloss
Dior Addict Ultra Gloss Lipglosses

Dior’s ultra glosses are known for being nicely pigmented, quite hydrating and super glossy so if you are a lipgloss kind of girl, you should give them a try. You get them in 3 finishes:

  • Sparkling: Colour with a high concentration of glitter
  • Iridescent: Colour that radiates with fine, contrasting pearlescent pigments
  • Watery: Clear, pure colour

Therefore, if you like this type of formula, you can definitely find something you like with these glosses!

Yves Saint Laurent

YSL rouge volupte shine oil-in-stick lipstick
Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-in-Stick Lipstick, YSL

Made with 65% oils, the deeply hydrating texture instantly melts into lips providing a pop of color, instant hydration, and all day comfort. After 4 weeks, lips look healthy and more nourished. 6 oils for 6 benefits: hydration, high shine, comfort, ultra-melting, luminosity, and smoothness. With the addicting signature YSL mango scent, these lipsticks are good enough to eat. Now in 12 brand new shades, from modern neutrals, playful pinks and intense berries, there is a Rouge Volupte Shine for every moment.

Antioxidants in natural extracts of pomegranate and rosemary reduce the look of fine lines, while candellila resin forms a thin, protective layer to help lock in moisture and magnify color and shine. Mineral pigments provide bright, vibrant color and a melting formula (instead of a solid stick) enabling smoother glide-on application and an ultrafine lightweight film on lips. Hyaluronic acid spheres hydrate and soften lips to help seal in moisture for up to eight hours of hydration.

Well, after all this, I need to give these lipsticks a try! This is the type of lipstick that I prefer: the ones that add colour to your lips while still providing moisture and keeping them hydrated all day long. You can choose from 12 gorgeous colours but, from what I can see on this picture, it is going to be very difficult to choose one!

Eyeshadows

Bobbi Brown

Bobbi Brown Sterling Nights Eye Palette
Sterling Nights Eye Palette, Bobbi Brown

I have never tried anything from Bobbi Brown but I have only heard great things, specially about their eyeshadows. The great thing about this palette is that you get every formula, from matte to sparkly, so you can create any look you want to, from neutral, everyday looks, to bold, festive ones. Since it is Bobbi Brown, it is going to be fairly pricey but, if you can splurge, I recommend you do so 🙂

Tarte

Tarte Rainforest of The Sea
Rainforest of The Sea, Tarte

As someone who loves her neutral eyeshadows, this palette is perfection! Again, I have never tried anything from Tarte but I hear great things about them all. With this palette, you get golds, pinks, dark browns, coppers, bronzes, which is perfect for someone like me, who loves earthy, warm shades! The ‘Rainforest of The Sea’ collection also features many other products, from lipsticks to a colour-correcting palette, foundations, concealers, brushes, a cleansing gel, etc.

Too Faced

Too Faced PBJ eyeshadow palette
Peanut butter and Jelly Eyeshadow Palette, Too Faced

This palette looks gorgeous! Other than the ‘Jelly’ eyeshadow, I would gladly wear every single one of those eyeshadows. And I am very curious to smell it: since the Chocolate Bar Palette smells like chocolate, I am wondering if this one will smell like a PBJ sandwich 🙂

Face

Too Faced

Too Faced Love Flush Blush Wardrobe
Love Flush Blush Wardrobe, Too Faced

This blush palette is heavenly! You get six gorgeous colours that you can choose to apply on their own or mix a couple of them together to great a whole new colour. And it has a mirror, which is always a plus!

Makeup Geek

Contour Powders, Makeup Geek

It pains me to say that I have never tried something from Makeup Geek. I have heard many great things about them (specially from Jaclyn Hill), about all of their products, but I have been dying to try their eyeshadows. And now I have to add these contour powders to my wishlist because they seem perfect!

Tom Ford

TF Purifying Cleansing Oil.jpg
Purifying Cleansing Oil, Tom Ford

I have heard many times that cleansing oils are great for removing make-up and deeply cleaning your skin and have been wanting to try one for a while. Tom Ford is a bit out of my league, though, but if I could, I would splurge on this cleansing oil 🙂

Glamglow

GravityMud, Glamglow

This is another brand that I have never tried but always heard great things about. This specific mask has been in the works for the past year and it is supposed to be out of this world. It is a chrome peel (how futuristic!) mask that is supposed to both firm and tone your skin. You spread on the pearly-white white liquid with a brush and, as it sits on your skin, it cools into a silver colour that looks all kinds of crazy. You can then peel it off for great-looking skin, and the peeling process is supposed to be oddly satisfying!

Lines and Colabs

Zac Posen & MAC

That first image for the campaign is simply stunning! In this gorgeous collection, you get three lipsticks, an eyeshadow palette, a powder blush duo palette, a prep + primer transparent finishing powder, an eyeliner, a mascara and a couple of brushes.

Kiko

Kiko - The Artist line
‘The Artist’ Line, Kiko

Kiko is launching this colourful line called ‘The Artist’, inspired by the idea of make-up becoming art. This is what you get in this collection:

  • A brightening, water-based foundation;
  • A cushion highlighter;
  • A multi-colour blush;
  • An eye pencil;
  • An eyeliner pen with an odd, spatula tip;
  • Loose eyeshadows;
  • A lip pencil;
  • A lipstick with an intense, radiant colour;
  • A face powder brush;
  • A foundation brush;
  • A duo eyeshadow brush;
  • A make-up bag;
  • A ‘Blooming glow – revitalising face serum’, with loads of vitamins (which I would love to try!).

That is it for now, guys. As soon as there are new launches announced, I will tell you all about them!

Let me know which of these products are you dying to try! 🙂

Love,

Alice ❤
